Salem – Patricia (Pat), 79, passed away on June 26, 2022 in Salem Hospital. She was born to Maurice and Inez Guy on August 27, 1942 in San Mateo, California. Her family soon moved to San Rafael where she spent her early years attending San Domenico School, Marin Jr. College, and finally Chico State University where she earned her bachelor degree in nursing. In 1970 she married Daniel (Dan) Waldron, the couple then moved to Oregon in 1974, settling in the Scio-Stayton area where they purchased and farmed their 50 acre ranch. Pat worked at Lebanon Community Hospital as a registered nurse from 1974 until 1984. Pat’s hobbies included her love for travel, raising purebred Arabian horses and becoming a master gardener through Oregon State University’s outreach program. Pat and Dan began their 52 yearlong marriage hitchhiking around the world for 22 months, visiting 54 countries and 16 more over their years together for a total of 70. While in Africa, they climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest at 19360 feet. Pat is survived by her husband Dan and her sister Marilyn Combs.
