Seeing people who shake a gallon of some kind of liquid, I picture of Mrs. Pat shaking a gallon of paint in class. Her birthday was the day before my mom’s birthday in March. Seeing people on skis also remind me of her using her skis in Deering winter time.

Mrs. Pat as I have called her, she was my grade school teacher; when she was teacher in Deering. She threw pizza parties and pe was always fun with the huge parachute half circle. She would use skis during winter time and she would go sightseeing on the other side of the bluff.

My condolences to Richard. Pat and I went through grade school together. Her family lived just down the road from me before moving into Wakarusa. After losing contact with Pat, we renewed our friendship while she was still teaching in Deering. She and Richard visited Kansas over the years and I visited them in Bend a few times. Pat was a fun lady who was very laid back and easy going. I will miss her dearly.

Al and I were so sorry to hear of Mrs. Pat's passing. We got to know her when she taught in Deering, Alaska. She was an excellent teacher and an assist to the school and community.
