Thank you so much for letting me know of Pat's passing. Faith and I loved her so much. She was inspirational in giving me advice and help along the way with Faith. She was and will always be a pillar in the Down Syndrome community. The love and care ❤ she gave each time we met and spoke was priceless. The last time we spoke was in a local restaurant in Winter Park. There will definitely be a void in the community. Her friendship was so appreciated. God Bless you and the family. We live in East Tennessee now but our hearts will be with you at the Association as you celebrate your mom's life. Take care of that precious young man she raised. He is a living testiment of the personal achievements that an adult with Down Syndrome can achieve when not limited.

My family had the pleasure of meeting the sweetest couple (Mrs. Pat and Mr. Jim) on our 1st cruise. My sons were young, and we met by chance as we shared the same dining table. My family and I became fond of Pat and Jim instantly. We looked forward to having dinner with them each night of the cruise. After the cruise, we became Facebook friends and kept up with each other. She would comment on my posts as I did hers. She was truly a gem.
I am thankful that our paths crossed. My sincerest condolences to her family.

Sending our condolences to the family. Pat was very influential and kind when our oldest daughter with Down Syndrome was born over 15 years ago. RIP to a beautiful soul!

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of Pat. Pat was a very special woman who was much loved by her friends and family. I knew Pat from WHB High School- we were good friends and I remember spending many hours at her house after school. She was a wonderful daughter and devoted sister. I remember the day Pat met Jim- I was honored to be in their bridal party. Years go by and with technology I was so grateful to be able to see their adventures and their amazing family! She will truly be missed by her family and friends. Sending love, support and prayers ❤️

Pat was a remarkable women, possessed of a sharp intellect and a witty sense of humor. She was beautiful and honest, and always involved in some good cause; animal rescue being one I was privileged to witness up close as a young girl. I was a witness, as well, to her fierce love for this country and her family. She was particularly kind to me as a friend of her daughter, Michelle. I was a frequent visitor to their home in my young teenage years when we lived in Hawaii. In my young adulthood, she was the one who drove me all over central Florida to my various missionary assignments. I still have the beautiful afghan she crocheted for me as a wedding gift. In recent years, her social media posts and messages always brightened my day. I will remember her well as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and as a patient woman willing to put up with all of the shenanigans of a couple of teenage girls. No doubt she is making heaven a better place, just as she made the world a better place by blessing us all with her wisdom and kindness. She will be truly and deeply missed. Love you Pat!❤️ sending lots of love and prayers to your beautiful family.
