Originally from Staten Island, New York, Pat or Patty as she was called back then, grew up in New Dorp on the Island, first attending grade school at St. Dorothy’s Academy, followed by high school at St. Joseph’s Hill Academy, fulfilling an early promise made by her dad to her mom who died when she was just 3 years old. She and her brother were to have Catholic educations. And in her case that meant …
