Personal note from Guy

I would like to thank all the people who have expressed their support, kind thoughts and prayers for my wife and family. For those who did not know, Patti had Esophageal Cancer which she was diagnosed last May. She had suffered for many months prior not realizing that this was the case. Unfortunately, due to other medical complications, they were unable to operate on the tumor which eventually fully blocked her Esophagus, resulting in the need of a feeding tube. She went through Radiation and Chemotherapy. In May of this year, we received the unfortunate news that the cancer had spread to her lungs and liver and she was placed in in-home hospice. During her last few months she was able to spend time with her children, brother, sister, and grandchildren.

Patti and I enjoyed over 53 years of life together with our children, grandchildren and great grand children. Our 54th anniversary would have been on August 13th. A man couldn't have asked for a better partner in life. Somewhere along the line Patti and I became as one in life. I am saddened by the passing last week of our oldest son David, but happy that Patti has been reunited in heaven with him. I am blessed to have the love of my daughters, and the support of family and friends.

When I was taking a shower the morning after her death I remembered a Hallmark movie that we often watched together. It talked about when you are walking through life you are actually holding each other up so neither would fall. At that moment, I realized that is what we had been doing all along. This caused an emotional moment and I was able to release some of my sadness.

Thank you for your caring and loving support during this difficult time.
