Patricia's obituary

Patricia Marie Gilbrook Mackay, born on September 5, 1955, Daughter of John F Gilbrook & Mary Gartland Gilbrook, was a vibrant red-headed Irish Catholic girl who grew up in Dorchester and later moved to Hull, Massachusetts, where she spent her adolescent and adult years. She was a proud graduate of Hull High School Class of 1973.

Patricia met her beloved husband, Ronald Mackay, at a time when he barely spoke English. Together, they built a life from humble beginnings, raising two children, Alexander Mackay and Dylan Mackay. They eventually settled into a comfortable life, owning a home, and providing a loving environment for their family. After retiring to Florida, Patricia and Ronald traveled the world and created countless cherished memories for their family. She adored her two grandchildren, Theodore “Teddy” Mackay and Boston Mackay, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of another granddaughter (Brynlee Mackay) on the way.

Though she never had a daughter of her own, Patricia was blessed with two wonderful daughter-in-laws, Erika Mackay and Emily Mackay, who brought even more joy into her life.

Known for her dramatic flair, Humor, and lively spirit, Patricia brought warmth and vibrancy to all who knew her. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ronald Mackay; her sons, Alexander and Dylan Mackay; her sisters, Mary Peaslee and Regina Fernald; her brothers, Jimmy (who has since sadly passed) and Billy Gilbrook; and dear friends Debbie and Kevin Dawyskiba, Beverly Lindholm, Beverly Chisholm, and both Mike and Eileen Trubia. She is Predecesed by her Sister Georgiene Melchoine and brothers John Gilbrook and Paul Gilbrook.

She passed while surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of her own home.

Her legacy of love, humor, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Rest in peace Patricia Marie Gilbrook Mackay
