Patricia's obituary
Patricia “Pat” Sue Kirkpatrick, 76, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025. Born in Washington, D.C., she lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Pat was the beloved wife of the late John F. Kirkpatrick and a devoted mother to Charles Bagley III, Rebecca Meister, Laurie Badolato, and Cindy Taylor. She was also a proud grandmother of ten and cherished sister to Peggy Hall. She was the daughter of John and Dottie White, whose love and guidance shaped the kind and compassionate woman she became.
Caring for others was at the heart of who Pat was. She built her career as a nurse, touching countless lives with her skill and kindness. Even after retirement, she continued to give of herself through volunteering with the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance.
Pat had a zest for life that was contagious. She loved dancing the night away to good music, treasure-hunting while bargain shopping, and exploring new places—especially throughout Europe, where she discovered a deep love of travel. More than anything, though, she treasured time spent with family and friends, creating memories that will live on in their hearts.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, her energy, and the way she made every gathering brighter.
An informal celebration of life will be held at her favorite spot, The Barrel House, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4.
