Patricia Jean Hunt, 73, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2021 after a life-long battle with heart issues. Patty was born in Trenton, NJ on June 21, 1948 to John and Jean Halpain of Browns Mills, NJ. After graduating from Pemberton High School in 1966, she went on to study elementary education at Murray State University in Kentucky where she met Donnie in 1967. After graduating from Trenton State College in 1971, she began her beloved 27-year teaching career with the Pemberton Township School District. Inseparable from the start, Patty and Donnie  wed in 1970 and had two sons; Christopher and David. After retiring in 2001, Patty and Donnie moved to Florida. They relished going on cruises and going to the movies. Patty was a voracious reader, Civil War fanatic and almost never missed her favorite show, Jeopardy. She was infatuated with the royal family, was known for being a prankster, had an infectious laugh and loved the color pink. Patty, never without a dog, spent years volunteering at animal adoption centers and enjoyed tutoring local children with their reading and writing. Patty was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Donnie, sons Christopher (Holly) of Lumberton, NJ, David (Kristin) of Florence, NJ and five grandchildren: Alexa, Jeremiah, Sophia, Reid and Carys. Patty enjoyed every precious moment spent with her family and will truly be missed. Our Patricia, Patty, Honey, Mom, Nanny, was one of a kind.
