Personal note from Kyra Wiedenkeller

There are no words. We lost our beloved "mom to all", Aunt Trish. Patricia Fenton, who lived in joy and relished times cooking for family, friends and perfect strangers, died June 24, 2019 at her Wappingers Falls, NY home from complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. She was surrounded by the loved ones she buoyed with her exuberant spirit ever since her 2016 diagnosis with the disease. The entire family has been working tirelessly to make ends meet while their mother has been sick. In lieu of flowers, donations to help cover funeral expenses and outstanding medical bills would be greatly appreciated. The remainder will be used to raise awareness for ALS. Below is a heartfelt letter from Alexa to her mommy in heaven.

I lost my mommy... I went back and forth whether or not I wanted to share this traumatizing experience with the world. For those who don’t know, these past 3 years I watched you get sicker & weaker because ALS the disease you were diagnosed with doesn’t have a cure yet.. I watched you stop being able to walk, lost your voice, being bed ridden for months & months. Eventually you just laid there because all your muscles gave up. I changed you everyday, fed you through a feeding tube, tried to make you happy even though it got to the point I couldn’t even understand you. I didn’t even know what depression was til the day you got sick, days where I couldn’t stop crying begging God for this to be a nightmare because I need my mommy. I’ve been fighting alot of demons lately. I don’t wanna live life without you.. I’m so lost right now, confused, broken, traumatized, scared, numb..

The doctor told us Friday we only had less than 5 days with you and you probably wouldn’t even last the weekend.. They clearly didn’t know who you were, My mommys a FIGHTER ❤️ and you put up one hell of a fight. You didn’t wanna leave my siblings, my father and I. I know that was the hardest thing in the world for you. I watched you fighting for your life and despite the situation, every day you put the hugest smile on your face. I never met a woman so strong. You were always so happy. Mommy your spirit is out of this world, there is truly nothing like it. You were such a beautiful, genuine soul. Such a fun time. Who has ever had my mommys cooking? Let’s talk about it, she throw it down in the kitchen!!! If you know, you know 💛
I lived the best 20 years of my life with you and from here on out Nothing will be the same.
Mommy I’m so sorry you had to go through this but at least you’re not suffering anymore, that is all that matters.
You can walk again. You can talk again in heaven mommy. ❤️

I’ll carry our beautiful memories forever. The night before you past, I crawled in bed and slept right cuddled up next to you, I’ll ALWAYS cherish that. That’s one of my favorite memories ever.
One of the last times I got to tell you I loved you, I’ll never forget how you looked at me either..
i know you loved me more than anything, You really would’ve did anything in this damn world for me
Rest in peace mommy.. I can’t even believe I’m saying this.

Till we meet in heaven my Bella, I love you so much. Xo
There is nothing in this damn world like YOUR MOMMY ❤️ you better be graceful ‼️‼️
