Our family extends special thanks to the Township of Demarest—Julie Falkenstern, Borough Administrator; Michael Greco, Deputy Borough Clerk; and the Department of Public Works—for making it possible to hold Mom's funeral service at Demarest Baptist Church. For over fifty-five years, this was Mom's spiritual home where she taught Sunday School, served as deaconess, and poured her heart into ministry. The Township's extraordinary efforts allowed us to celebrate her life in the sanctuary she loved most. This act of kindness exemplifies the spirit of community that made Mom proud to call Demarest home.
