Personal note

I wanted to have a priest speek at the celebration of life but after thinking about it I decided I would instead because they were not involved in a church much, family was their church. We have been blessed to have such loving carring giving parents. Our family has had its challenges like any normal dysfunctional family! Dad was born to our wild fun Gramma Bertha he was the youngest of 6 children his father died when he was 6 so he always over compensated to make sure we had a better childhood than he did. Gramma Ruth had 11 childreen and mom was the oldest in a busy large active Irish Catholic family! Mom was a caregiver by nature and necessity We were so blessed to have so many loving, crazy, carring people in our lives and still are . I can hardly remember a time someone down on their luck was not living with us. Because mom and dad were just that kind of people. I am married to a wonderful man and we both pray we can live up to our parents inspiration. I remember going camping all the time and having the best family vacations. I hated fishing and was such a brat I would make too much noise and scare the fish away so we could go water skiiing instead and dad would always have to check the prop after a few beers! I moved to Michigan in 1997. I tried my best to keep a good long distant relationship with them. My husband promised to fly me to visit every year. But life happened and we could not afford it. I am especially emotional because I missed out on soo much time. Time is one thing we never know when we are going to run out of. Tomorrow is never promised and we need to cherish ever minute with our loved ones. I miss my parents but god needed them more. I know they are up in heaven happy and healthy. I hope we can make you proud mom and dad. 😜
