Patricia Ann Chester, lovingly known as “Sue,” age 89, passed away on December 19, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Sue was born on August 6, 1936, in Freeport, Illinois. She was the beloved widow of Larry V. Chester and was also preceded in death by her grandson Jesse Stephens, her brothers Roland and Dave, and her sisters Emily and Linda.

She is survived by her children Cindy Simmons, Robert Chester, William Chester, and Tamara Jordan. Sue was a proud grandmother to Guy Simmons, Donavon Simmons, Jay Simmons, Joshua Chester, Anthony Jordan, and Kami Jordan, and a cherished great-grandmother to Austin Simmons, Katie Simmons, Tyler Simmons, Jordan Stephens, Deegan Stephens, Eliza Ballard, Rowan Ballard, Zane Ballard, Leilani, Kaden Jordan, Greyson Jordan, and Brielle Patton. She is also survived by her nephew Gus, great nephew Jake, and great niece Chloe.

Sue had a gentle soul and a creative heart. She found joy in crocheting and sewing, and she had a special fondness for hummingbirds and turtles, which reflected her appreciation for beauty, patience, and nature.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, with additional details to be shared with family and friends.

Sue will be remembered for her quiet strength, creativity, and the deep love she held for her family. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.
