Patricia's obituary
Pat lived a fulfilling life all around the Bay Area and Central Valley. She boarded horses with her father in San Jose as a child, was an usherette at the Cow Palace in San Francisco as a teen, and worked at the Pratt-Low cannery in Santa Clara as a young adult.
She received all seven sacraments at the Five Wounds Church in Santa Clara where her family, The Miranda’s, are recognized as founding members. Pat was also a patron of the Carmelite Order, to which her mother belonged.
A former resident of Santa Clara for 30 years, Pat moved with her husband and son to Escalon in 1986.
Pat was an enthusiastic angler and loved to fish in the San Joaquin Delta. Her homemade Portuguese sweet bread and apricot jam were well-loved by family and friends.
Preceded in death by her mother Rose Miranda Foster, father Joseph “Red” Foster, fifteen siblings, and her husband Peter Perry Barros. Surviving family includes son Walter Perry Barros III, daughter-in-law Laurie Kalil Barros, and two granddaughters Claire and Louise Barros.
