Patty's obituary

Patricia Ann "Patty" White, a beloved partner, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was 72 years old.

Born on February 8, 1954, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Patty was the cherished daughter of the late George and Lavenia White. She grew up in a loving family alongside her six sisters: Karen Dean, Susan Mayes, Eve White, Sandra White, Beth White Marshall, and Martha White. She also had four nephews, three great nephews and three great nieces. Her close-knit family remained an integral part of her life.

Patty pursued her passion for helping others by earning her nursing degree from Montgomery County Community College. She began her career at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA by floating so gained vast knowledge in many fields. The only departments she never worked were Obstetrics and Dialysis. After moving to New Jersey, she was in charge of the PACU at Shore Memorial Hospital from 3 - 11 p.m. She later joined a vascular surgery group where she continued to provide compassionate care to countless patients over the years. Her dedication to her profession left a lasting impact on those she worked with and cared for.

Outside of her career, Patty found joy in spending time with her partner Ron Boomhower, her family, friends, and pets. She and Ron enjoyed flying in their Piper plane.

Patty had a deep love for gardening and skiing—activities that brought her peace and exhilaration. She was an avid skier whose love for the sport was evident to everyone around her. Having skied throughout the United States, she especially enjoyed teaching beginners and sharing her passion for the slopes. From the chairlift, she was often the one people admired—gracefully and confidently skiing black diamond and mogul runs.

Patty's other love was her 1967 XKE jaguar, which she raced at Limerock and showed at Jag Concours d’Elegance where cars were evaluated on authenticity, cleanliness and presentation.

Patty's kindness knew no bounds; she touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth, generosity, sticky buns and other fabulous desserts. Those who knew her will fondly remember her love of Elvis Presley and country music, which often filled the air wherever she went.

Patty's memory will be forever cherished by Ron Boomhower, her sisters and extended family. She is reunited in peace with her parents George and Lavenia White.

May Patricia Ann "Patty" White’s legacy of kindness and love continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
