Pat worked hard in her life to fight against food insecurity. At IPC, she helped found the Hunger Work Group, an organization that lobbied United States congressmen to advocate for financial debt relief of third world countries. This work led to her nomination to the board of Bread for the World, a global hunger relief non-profit. She served in this capacity for two terms, ultimately serving as the vice-chair, and she and Gayle remain connected to Bread for the World and its work. Contribute to Bread for the World Institute
