Pat lived a rich and rewarding life filled with lifelong friendships, travel, adventure, and awareness.
An avid motorcyclist, Pat competed in Trials for 25 years as well as motorcycle racing. He road “every state and province in North America except southern Mexico.” He retired at 31 and travelled for 10 years. He retired for the 2nd time when he was 55 and explored Alaska, Canada and more on his motorcycle.
A renowned rum expert & blender, Pat was a judge at the International Rum competition for 10 years. His passion for the spirit was contagious.
His passion for life was contagious! No matter where he worked or traveled, Pat developed and maintained longtime friendships. Described as generous, honest, and kind, Pat was a true friend in every sense.
Pat was known for his love of Oktoberfest and St. Patty’s Day (always celebrating in his green, Irish attire). He delighted friends & neighbors with his amazing Halloween decorations.
Always involved with spiritual studies, Pat had a strong and secure inner knowing of place and purpose ~ recognized by others and a beacon for many.
For two decades, Pat volunteered at Eeyore’s Annual Birthday Party at Pease Park in Austin, TX. His volunteer efforts extended to the Pease Park Restoration Project wherein 500 trees were planted.
The youngest of five children, Pat is survived by siblings John Davidson (Independence, MI,) and Dorothy Spicka (Geneseo, NY). Preceding Pat in death are his siblings Joanne Tresnak and Robert Davidson, as well as his parents Bernice and Forrest L. Davidson.
Pat truly lived his motto: “Step in Time with the Rhythm of the Universe”. His clarity, humor, honesty, and curiosity enhanced the worlds he touched.
If so moved (and in lieu of flowers), Pat requested you “do something anonymous for someone else - From your heart. Something that would make you feel good by doing it. Be it a gift certificate to a nice restaurant that you know someone can’t afford but loves, a plant that you leave with a little love note, a bottle of wine…”
Details for the future memorial will be posted here.
