Pamela's obituary

Pamela Kay Silvers Davis, age 62, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 in her Palmer home, surrounded by her family. A come-and-go Celebration of Life with the family will take place this Saturday, Februa2019 from 10am to 1pm at Pam & Rick’s Palmer home located at 630 Ebenezer Rd.

Pamela was born on May 10, 1956 in Bryan, Texas to Margaret and Allen Silvers. She graduated from Ferris High School in the spring of 1974. Pam loved nature and took any opportunity to be out in it. She enjoyed water skiing, motorcycle riding, 4-wheeling, swimming, and RV’ing with her best friend and husband, Rick. She also enjoyed gardening, dominos, cards, mani-pedi’s, and taking the grandkids for golf cart rides. Pam was a fantastic cook, and she loved watching the Food Network to get new ideas. She is especially well-known for her perfect pie crust.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Gloria Haba and Mark Silvers.
She is survived by her devoted husband Rick Davis; four daughters, Amanda and husband Danny Hartley, Charity and husband Ryan Mullican, Joanna and husband Trent Lee, and Traci Davis Rodriguez; brother, Tom Silvers and wife Anne; sister-in-law Joyce and husband Robert; brother-in-law, Forrest Davis; mother-in-law Delores Davis; and her sister, Aimee Lenamond. She also survived by grandchildren: Trenton & KaLeigh Hartley; Turner, Silver & Davis Mullican; Ryker Lee; Korbin & Krystal Rodriguez and their son Kaycee & Delton Rodriguez; numerous nephews and nieces including, Madison Alford and her daughter Collins. She will also be missed by her pups Heidi, Gracie, and RoRo.

She laughingly told the story of interviewing for her first bank job as a file clerk while wearing flip-flops and cut-off jeans. Though the bank changed hands many times, and many people came and went, she never did. She was a beloved and dedicated employee for many years who served in many capacities. She served the last six years as the President of Commercial State Bank in Palmer. Her coworkers are like family. The Newsoms have taken care of her to a higher standard than imaginable. Pamela’s family will be forever grateful for their kindness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to UT Southwestern Research Hospital Simmons Cancer Center to provide hope for a cure to this horrible disease.
