I regret the loss of Palmyra. I am so sorry that I didn’t get a chance to speak with her before her departure. I tried contacting her and her phone number had been disconnected. I felt like something had happened, so I remembered her daughter’s name and tried contacting with no response. I met her through my employment and we remained friends, talking a lot, going out to lunch, etc. She was definitely a true Christian friend. She loved her family more than anything. I know she is in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. Family be blessed. ❤️❤️❤️

My Mother Palmyra Eunice Kimbrough

Dear Joan (& James too), i will miss your mom, my friend for so many years -- Eunice was first a neighbor of ours in San Jose. Being mom to Joan (& James) meant we would become lifetime friends. I love her very much. Several times come to mind; like when she decided to go to church with me. Once. I did forget to tell her it was a sort of
casual Presbyterian church (Milpitas, CA). While i was in a dress & flat shoes she came decked out in a beautiful black dress, very fancy black hat, & high heels. We went inside & she said "JoAnn, let's leave!" ( said it would be ok & it was ok). She was the most dressed up lady there. We had to laugh (later). Another time, just after the bad car accident, she phoned me from the hospital desperate to have better care. So I went over there & told them she is my best friend & why aren't they changing her sheets, fixing the pillows, & helping her drink, etc. I said I'd be back a lot to see if they are doing their part because she deserved their best care! I can't describe her condition - myself I'd need to be tranquilized to get thru it - she was a survivor & held on - & the nurses got busy & did a lot more. (thankfully) It has been a blessing to stay in touch all the years. The one thing she would not tell me was her birthday -- DAY. So I always guessed which day in July it could be ... & it was a game to her. (to me too). Now I know her birthday. (just read it here) Oh, one other thing besides her love of Joan (i share) is that Eunice loved
Dashhound dogs. She had one for awhile. Must pause, there are so many good memories. God bless Joan (& family) ---
