Junior's obituary

Otis L. McGary Junior, 79 passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family at his Seattle, WA home on May 1, 2023. Junior was a decorated veteran who was a Bronze Star recipient and other meritorious medals .


Junior was born on June 15, 1943 to the Spring Hill community, Bryan Mill, TX.  to his parents Otis L. McGary and Melba Child McGary. When he was just [age], Junior decided he wanted to join the [military branch] and was stationed at [base name] in [location]. Junior would go on to serve in the [war / battle] with some of his closest friends [name of friends]. 

After serving in [battle/location/war], Junior spent time abroad in [location]. During his time in [location], he met and fell for Ernestine, who he soon married and had (number of) kids. Junior and Ernestine chose to settle in the town of [location].

After moving to [location], Junior started working at [employer]. He worked at [employer] for [number] years.

When he wasn’t working, Junior had a passion for [hobby] and [hobby].  

 Junior was predeceased by his father and mother siblings: Jay Horace McGary, Willis Wendell McGary, Odie Mae Gavin and Virginia Bonner. He is survived by [list the number of children or names]; and four sisters, Bettie Lucky, Elizabeth A. Taylor, Mary Strickland, Malinda Locke; two brothers James E. McGary and Terry McGary; sister-in-law, Velma McGary and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
