Osman's obituary
Osman Farouq, 23, of Reston, Virginia, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, died the morning of April 1, 2024 of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in the year 2000, in St. Louis, MO, Osman moved to Reston, VA at the age of 4 with his parents, Fauzia and Umer, his older brother Daneyal, and his older sister Aisha. A stellar athlete and student, Osman attended Lake Braddock High School and played soccer, baseball, and football.
In 2022, Osman graduated with a degree in aerospace engineering from Virginia Tech, and soon after moved to Dallas, Texas to work for Lockheed Martin. From a young age, Osman showed passion for all things mechanical, especially cars and motorcycles. On his many visits home to Reston, Virginia, he would leap at any opportunity to ride with his friends group (VT-C11 MC).
Osman’s faith was very important to him, and he regularly attended jummah prayers at ADAMS in Sterling, VA. He was deeply concerned about human suffering, calling for a ceasefire in Palestine and planning travel to Puerto Rico later this month to work as a volunteer building flood shelving. Donations can be made in his memory to Islamic Relief for Palestine.
