Ormedis Matos, 66, of Paterson, passed away on October 21, 2019. He was born in Guantanamo, Cuba on March 8, 1953 to Gusto Matos and Eva Lovaina. Before his retirement, Ormedis was a self-employed general contractor.

He was the beloved father of Orlides Matos, Ormedis Matos, Jr. (fiance Jennifer Ortega), Estrella Matos (fiancé Miguel , Suleiry Matos (partner Tony Gonzalez) and Barbara Matos and the cherished grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Ormedis is also survived by two sisters, 5 brothers, several nieces and nephews, his former wives Rosalia Negron and Esmeralda Salas and his treasured girlfriend Rosa Santiago.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 27th from 11:00am-3:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will begin at Santangelo Funeral Home at 9:00 AM on Monday, October 28th followed by entombment TBD.
