We will have the funeral service for family and Orion’s friends at Aztlan Mortuary in La Mesa, CA, from 12pm-2pm. Given the limited amount of space, RSVP spots are prioritized to family members and Orion's closest friends. Father Rodger will officiate the service. There will be light hor d’oeuvres.

Following the funeral service, guests are invited to join us at Holy Cross Cemetery where Orion’s urn will be placed in a glass enclosure that will be his forever place. Given the limited space, we are prioritizing family members to join for this event. All other guests will have an opportunity to visit Orion at the mausoleum (the building with the big, blue dome) any time in the future. They close at 4pm every day.

Orion had raised the topic in conversation with his mom a month or two ago about death and funerals. Orion said that when he dies, he does not want people to be sad. Rather, he wants his funeral to be a big party, with bands playing music. He added that there should be a cover charge for his funeral!

So, we are going to honor his wish and have a celebratory event in his honor, open to all family and friends. The cover charges will help pay for some of the funeral and event expenses.

There will be a Mexican food buffet, bartender (cash bar), live music by Orion's friends from Foxtide, Bedsweater, and other local bands, and quiet rooms playing a movie of Orion's life.

The movie is a one-hour movie compilation of videos and pictures taken throughout Orion's life by his family, friends, and selfies. Most of the music in the video are songs that Orion played during a performance, and some original songs that he started sketching out but did not finish. The movie premiere will be at 5:30pm, but the videos will continue looping throughout the night. It's recommended to start watching from the beginning because it's chronological.

Bands will start playing around 6:45pm.
