Orafay's obituary

Our loving wife, mom, sister, friend, and grammy OraFay Wilson, 68, of Ranchester, WY passed away suddenly on October 16th, 2023. OraFay was born on March 14th, 1955, to Fran Donges.

Her youth was spent in Fort Smith, Montana near Yellowtail Dam and the Big Horn River. She graduated from Hardin High School in 1973. Shortly after graduation, she enlisted in the US Army where she was trained as an x-ray technician. She was stationed at various Army posts in the United States. In 1976, she was transferred to the Army 5th General Hospital in Stuttgart, Germany where she lived some of the best years of her life and made lifelong friends that she cherished. During her time in Europe, she learned to ski in the Alps, which quickly became her favorite hobby. In 1979, she was transferred to the military enlistment processessing station in El Paso, TX where she met Jim Wilson.

Jim and OraFay were married May 16th, 1981, in St. Xavier, MT. From this union came two children: Brian (Jessica) and Alaina (Clint). Her children and her children’s children were the light of her life. OraFay loved spending time with her children and grandchildren doing anything and everything. She was a woman who enjoyed being productive and found immense joy in mother nature. The spring blossoms, the smell of russian olive blooms, fishing, photography, fall colors, and skiing were some of her favorite things in the outdoors.

OraFay is survived by her husband Jim, son Brian and his wife Jessica and their children Amelia and Daniel, daughter Alaina and her husband Clint and their son Ace, daughters Jennifer and Amy in New York, and three brothers: Marshall, Walt, and Wes. She was preceded in death by her mother Fran and her sister Marcia.
