Omie Altie Mae Burks, 60 years of age, passed on November 29,2022 in Corinth, Mississippi. Growing up she loved horses, fishing, and taking care of her pigs. She graduated from Adamsville High School in 1979. After graduating, she married Daniel McAfee and decided to enlist in the army. We would like to have a celebration of life before January 1st of 2023. Due to financial difficulties and lack of preparation after the cancer diagnosis, we are not able to afford to bury Omie. Cremation has been suggested because it is cheaper. To my knowledge, no one in our family has ever been cremated. If possible by donations, that we will be able to lay Omie to rest in the way of our ancestors, our family will be in gratitude for the rest of our days.
