Sola may your soul find peace in the Lord, till we meet and part no more ore, please look back and guide your children and wife,

Prince Adebayo Adeyemi

In loving memory of Pastor Joshua,
Pastor J, I never thought I would be writing this message here. I always thought you would live forever sir because you were so full of life but your sudden departure has left us all in disbelief, reminding us of the impact you made on countless lives. Pastor J, your Facebook post was a stark reminder that you've truly left us, and the void you've left behind is immeasurable.
Your unwavering dedication to the children, youth, and young adults ministry was evident to all who had the privilege of knowing you. You believed in their potential, and your guidance pushed so many beyond their comfort zones, including myself. Your habit of entrusting responsibilities upon us without hesitation showed your unshakeable faith in our abilities.
Your passion and devotion were boundless. Your calls to preach, lead prayers, and engage in various ministry assignments were not just tasks, but opportunities for growth. Your support knew no bounds, and your encouragement helped shape my spiritual path.
While the ache of your absence is profound, I find solace in the knowledge that you fulfilled your purpose with unwavering commitment. You lived your life aligned with your faith, and for that, I are eternally grateful.
My prayers extend to Aunty Bola your beautiful wife, your sons, your family, and all those whose lives you touched. May they find comfort and strength in the memories of your love and wisdom.
Though you are no longer with us, your memory will forever remain alive in our hearts. Your legacy will continue to inspire us as we move forward, cherishing the lessons you've taught us.
Rest in peace, Pastor J, basking in the eternal embrace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Until we reunite in a place where goodbyes are never spoken, you will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
With love and gratitude,
Hope Michael

Dear “Pastor Josh” as I usually call you or “Uncle Josh” or on a few occasions “MC Suuuuuuhoooo”!!. I thank God as you are currently in Heaven singing, acting, dancing, laughing with the 24 Elders and the angels around the throne room of the Father.

You really left this earth without a warning to anyone, and that’s how the mysteries of God certainly are.

As John 1:51 states, “I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth.” During this experience, I saw you walk on that stairs as the angels blew their trumpets and welcomed you home, and as much as it hurts, the only words that could come out of my mouth with every strength I had to muster was “God you are GOOD!”

As much as it is a very hard pill to swallow, I am comforted by the words of Jesus ,"But I have prayed [especially] for you [Ezinne], that your faith [and confidence in Me] may not fail; and you, once you have turned back again [to Me], strengthen and support your brothers [in the faith] - Luke 22:32

This experience has caused me to take my walk with God more seriously, keep the fire burning, make the most of the time + gifts, keep the altar up in the ministries he left, and to Serve in Love with All I got before He calls me home..

I rejoice as I think of the memories/ legacy Pastor Josh started:

- Ahhhnnn I Loveee how much he loved Aunty Bola, like his Public Display of Affection was superbb/ on point ( I remember the 2022 Couple’s Banquet), he was the MC, and he had people “toast their wives like it was their first time meeting them” and some couples were shy, so he went over to Aunty to give them an example, and was toasting Aunty, spitting some sweeett poems/ lines and she was shy, but also blushing, and with that, everyone had to step up their game.. lol

- I love how much he ensured He was present for his sons, and ensured that they also served in every capacity and he listened to them and was their “friend”. During the 2023 Couple’s retreat, while the couples were out of town,, he ensured that he got an Uber for his boys and Mama to come to church so that they will serve in the media dept knowing that church will be probably scanty)

- I lovvee how he came to church straight from the Couple’s retreat with Aunty even though he knew people will not be there

- I love how we went for Youth retreat in like 2019 or so, and you and aunty bola and the boys came, and how all the teens rushed Aunty’s Jollof, and you were giving us your experience on how y’ll know now how much to cook.. That retreat was my early encounters with you and I saw your hunger for the youths

- I love how he believed in me even when I always tried to “runnnnn” from every assignment he gave me.. But he found a way to ensure that I did it, and he didn’t pay attention to my excuses, cloaked in the shadows of fear or insecurities.. From singing pre-covid during the 8am morning 1st Service, to MC’ing events, to preaching twice. In those events, God confirmed his calling and word on my life.. Thank you Pastor J. I honor your gift

- I loveee how he made out time for everyone’s event.. He was always at service. He taught me the value of Honoring our leaders and Serving in all capacity

- I loovee how in Q3 2022, I told you how there was a dance I had in mind,, and you knew right where you wanted to put it and told me everything will be sorted out, I should just do my part

- I love how in Q2 2023, while the kids were practicing for VBS, you came into the kids room, with such authority and calmness in your voice you told us to drop what we were doing and prep the kids to present something for mother’s day, and you left the room, and in 2-3 weeks, we knew we had to deliver something.

- I loovee how you helped me relate with the teens and childrens more.

- I lovveee how you were my instigator partner for a few of the Hydration folks.. Ahahhahahah.. (They know themselves)

- I lovvee how you were like a Mama Eagle to Hydration Ministry covering/ protecting us

- In July 2023, I won’t forget when you came into the choir room where Y.E.S Sings was and you came to encourage us after we just ministered “to do work even when no one is looking, and also to work at something with all our might bc one day, it will pay off.. Every Little preparation counts”

- I lovedd your stories of your acting days in Nigeria

- I loveee your very creative ideas

- I loovee your bluntness and that you were not shy to tell the children, teens, youths were we messed up, where we needed improvements, and you always corrected us in love

- I love how you sprinkled your heart of servitude on my journey for the youths and Children and other depts… By the Grace of God, I will keep the fire burning in my life

- I lovee how you are a master of “putting people on the spot”, and you like to plannn choii and execute

- I looove how when you want the kids to stop talking or behave .. lolz.. You’ll give the instruction and say “In Jesus Name!” – “I need you all to stop talking, In Jesus name”.. “You all need to start arranging the chairs, In Jesus name!” ..

- I lovee your Heart of Servitude. Surely you were a Servant Leader to all facets of society

- I lovee how much you invested in everyone you came across.. Both at your workplace, church, family, society., etc..

- I lovee how you intercede in prayer, and like Elijah, the mantle has fallen on us

- I lovvee the seed that this is going to produce in the upcoming days

This transition has taught me in a different dimension that “God is GOOD”

Till we meet again Pastor J, I praise God that He is saying “Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Master!.. For you have lived a life with Joy that has given me Glory”

Thank you for cheering us on and telling us to lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and run with endurance the race that is set before us.

Indeed God is GOOD & Has to be In Every Situation

Bc He lovess you wayyy more than we can ever love you

Dear Pastor Joshua,

To say I am crushed, would be an understatement of my state, but I wish you could feel the immense gratitude I have in my heart for you. Simply put, thank you.

Thank you for believing in me. You took me as a young lady, made an HOD, and transformed me into a leader. You stood behind me like a rock and forced me to stretch my spiritual capacity. You quenched every doubt I had about my capabilities. You taught me how to be a visionary and to execute. You really put air under my wings and helped me fly PJ! You shaped me into the woman that I am today. The respect I have for you is beyond this world.

Thank you for showing me how to serve. When I joined the church, I realized I didn’t know how to serve because of you. You had the heart of a servant. There was no task above you. The prayer warrior, the teacher, the father, the shepherd, the driver, the cleaner, the dancer, everything Pastor Joshua. You did it all with a big smile on your face.

Thank you for showing me how to run the race of righteousness delightfully. You lived well pastor josh! You lived well. What a beautiful legacy! You made hell mad! Your legacy will continue to make hell mad. The seeds you sowed will rise up for God. Oh man, the earth will feel and smell the fragrance of your offering.

I wish I could’ve hugged you tighter and told you thank you a million times more. You’re a true hero, my hero. Better yet, I pray my life continues to reflect the big seed you sowed. I’m so grateful to have known you. I’m thankful for every conversation, call, text, laugh and memory. I’ll cherish them for the rest of my life

I can’t help but smile when I think of the angels welcoming you home. Man, I know it’s a celebration in heaven. I know you’re dancing in too. I wish I could hear our Father tell you “Well Done, my good and faithful servant.” I would blow a horn, scream and jump to join in the celebration of your work on earth.

You’re marked in my heart forever and ever Pastor Josh! We’ll take the baton proudly as the Joshua generation. Your legacy will not and cannot die. I love you, we love you. Until we meet again 💙"

It was indeed a shock to hear of your passing. From a distance I admired your commitment and your prayer life and wished I could have same passion for prayer and the things of God. Rest with him who has called you to him. May God strengthen your family and give everyone the beatitude to bear the loss. From Efe and I, rest in peace brother.

Sister, please accept our condolences.

The last part of the text I received about your death says “ile aye asan” meaning this life is nothing! Pastor Josh like I always call you, you really lived this life like it was nothing! It’s almost as if you knew you had little time and wanted to do as much as you can in that time😩. You are a man of many talents and I always wonder how one man can be that amazing, you were sold out to God, an absolute God-chaser!!! You were the one who made sure I knew how to drive and literally pushed transportation ministry on me! Your presence at VBS changes everything as you had your way of getting the kids to do their absolute best without even knowing how stressful it gets! You dragged me to media ministry when you and your family would pick us early for first service before we got our car! When I had a very time sensitive issue in 2020, it was YOU I ran to and you said “no worry Tosin, I got this”😩😩. Nothing else mattered to you but eternity! You have your way of finding precious treasures in the most crude places! I have a lot of things to say about how you impacted my life and how selfless you were! You pushed me beyond my limits every single time and whenever you see that I’m beginning to get comfortable, you push even harder! You are a true Christian, the kind of Christian that earned the apostles that name in Antioch! You are a legend and I’m so honored to have had you in my life! Rest on soldier, I pray that God will help the rest of us to finish well! I will not sorrow like those without hope because I know you made it home! Adieu gallant soldier, till me meet on the resurrection morning
This is still like a dream to me, after my mother's death, this is the second death that really hit me.Everytime I see you, you are always smiling, a selfless and dedicated man of God you were. I remember how you always play with my son and encourage him to keep dancing. This past Sunday in  church I was hoping to see you pass through the main door and tell us we are dreaming. I keep asking so much questions "why pastor Joshua? Whenever I think of you, there is this peace  and joy that I can't describe that fills my heart that you are in heaven with your maker. You will be truly missed. Continue to sing with the angels. We love you  Pastor Joshua.
Dear brother Joshua, it was a pleasure indeed to know you and work with you. No task was too much for you to tackle. Your smiles and your pleasant greetings are worth emulating. You made a great impact in all the ministries at family praise chapel. The couples ministry will miss you so dearly. You have been our long time MC / time keeper/ game leader. You were always ready every time we needed you. You and your wife never missed a program. Your valuable contributions to couples events are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your dedication to the works of the kingdom of God. We will miss you. Rest on dear brother.
Pastor Joshua” I cannot believe I am writing a tribute to you, is still very unreal. You came to serve and you served effortlessly and with a smile. When I look back now, you did everything like there was no tomorrow. Thank you for showing me what it really looks like to serve with LOVE. Thank you for being there for me and my family during my battle with cancer, thank you for supporting and believing in me when I wanted to start my foundation . Thank you for believing and investing so much in our FPC families, especially in our youths and young adults. Because of your passion for the next leaders of the church, FPC had a great and functioning youths and young adults department!!! Who is going to fill that void???? Only God knows!! Your SMILE was priceless, your energy was contagious, your dedication was amazing to watch. We already miss you pastor Joshua. I will miss seeing at Efe, our little conversations and ideas to throw at sometimes lol. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You left a big void in our hearts!! I know your legacy will continue!! “The power of a person’s life is the stories they leave behind”. A heart of gold stopped beating / Working hands at rest / God broke our hearts to prove to us / He only takes the best / Leaves and flowers may wither / The golden sun may set / But the hearts that loved you dearly / Are the ones that won’t forget.
