Uncle Femi I do not know what to say. Thank you for how you filled everyone's hearts with Joy and laughter. You will always message and check up on me. I will never forget how I was crying of laughter when I picked you up from the airport in London. Rest In Power Uncle Femi. You will never be forgotten. 

Ariel and Ariana my prayers go out to you and your family. Please stay strong your Dad is so proud of you ! You have now gained a very funny Angel. 💜🙏🏿

At this trying period in my life, I pray that God will grant me the serenity and peace that I need to get through this. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My earliest memory of Femi is how we met. I'd been hanging out with Seyi, his cousin, after we'd met at New Era high school's Lit Day party in 1978.

Seyi told me of another party the next weekend, and informed me that his cousin Femi would be coming along.

Femi and I hit it off immediately due to our common interest - rockies at all costs!

As we danced and mingled with the other revelers, Femi and I quickly came up with a new language on the fly as we passed commentary on what was going on at the party and strategized on what we wanted to do.

We would go on to keep 'rockin', especially those parties we threw in the summers of '79 and '80 at the drop of a hat - all around Calabar St/Gbadamosi close/Raufu Williams Cr in Surulere.

As our friendship grew, we also indulged in our love of music - first forming our own 2 man band, and eventually both joining a real musical group "Roosty" in Lagos.

Eventually, we both moved to the US, remaining friends for nearly 45 years.

Femi was an easy person to be a friend to. Through thick and thin, Femi would have your back.

I'm not sure if I ever told you, but I always appreciated the time I spent with you. From family vacations to the occasional visit at home, I always felt like I was having a good time when you and your family were around. I'll always cherish those memories. You were a good man and godfather, and I'll miss you.

To Ariel and Arianna,

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this so unexpectedly. Please know you're in my thoughts.

The “City Rocker” of all city rockers. Gone too soon!!! while I am still trying to get the move style going. 

I remembered way back in 1986 when we had that double date at a club in New Jersey with Marnita and Teresa, and that dance move by you , was wicked man!!! Everyday always thinking about that dance style by you.

You are always in my thoughts, and you will never been forgotten. You are like a brother I never had .

You are a kind, gentle soul. Big heart !!!

I personally will miss you and the memories we had together will linger on till we meet again.

Femi was a fantastic  chap, we grew up together in Surulere, he was dependable and let very little stand in his way. He was protective of his loved ones and will defend his friends till the end , was always there at any point he was needed . Life was not so fair on him but he survived against all odds from when he was young till he joined the Lord.  

I feel he had a raw deal, but God knows best!! 

Sleep well my brother, my friend,  rest in peace 

A great heart. A great soul. A great human being. This is a difficult situation to process however, his light will shine on through the beautiful memories he helped to create. I will miss him sorely.

Ariel, Arianna, Aunt Marnita  I am sending you all positive energy and pray God gives you the strength to get through this, I know you will.
