Oliver's obituary

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Oliver Meyer, a beacon of creativity, humor, and love, on December 29, 2025. Born on July 18, 2001, Oliver's life was a vibrant tapestry of art, music, and connection. His laughter echoed on Tumblr, where he garnered a following of 10,000 people, entranced by his wit and his enormous heart.

He leaves behind a richly woven legacy of hilarity, creativity, and empathy. Notably, he was a talented artist, adorning the furry community with his iconic stitch dogs. His love for 90’s celestial whimsigoth art style was a testament to his refined aesthetic sense. Oliver also held a deep passion for music, featuring an eclectic mix of tastes from Modest Mouse to Bubblegum Octopus, Jack Stauber to Radiohead.

Oliver's penchant for the audio-visual splendor of art extended to the cinematic and television worlds as well. His love for Breaking Bad and Fight Club echoed his appreciation for depth and complexity in storytelling. His fondness for the strategic could be seen in his penchant for games like Phase 10, Half-Life series, Disco Elysium, and Vintage Story.

He was a food and drink enthusiast who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Pho, Pad Thai, candy, and food from Mexican trucks paired perfectly with a Strawberry Crush. He found tranquility in local spots like thrift stores, the botanical garden, and the gay bar. The color purple could always bring a smile to his face.

Oliver's life was characterized by a profound care for the world around him. He was a staunch advocate for mental health, believing strongly in social progressiveness. His greatest achievement, however, was making people laugh, spreading joy wherever he went.

Oliver is survived by his loving family: his sister Evelyn Meyer, his father Brian Meyer, his mother Ann Meyer, his grandmother Kris Rossmiller, and his cousin Charlotte Rossmiller. He now joins his predeceased family, his grandfather Kenneth Rossmiller, his cousin Gabriel Rossmiller, his grandmother Anne Holder, and his grandfather Theodore Soppe, in eternal rest.

As we mourn his loss, we find comfort in the knowledge that his spirit, vibrancy, and his endless capacity for laughter endures in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, Oliver. Your legacy stands testimony to a life well-lived.
