Olive Wright (nee McGregor), born on July 13, 1923, peacefully transitioned at the age of 101 on September 21, 2024. A woman of grace, resilience and boundless love, her memory will forever live in the hearts of those she touched throughout her remarkable life.

Born and raised in a humble home on the beautiful island of Jamaica, Olive grew to become a woman of many talents who touched the lives of many with her kindness, spicy attitude and her heartwarming stories. She embodied strength and perseverance, yet always maintained her nurturing spirit.

Olive is survived by her daughter Beulah Parker, sons Denis and Cosmond Wright, daughter-in-laws, Bettie Wright and Delores Campbell, 5 grandchildren (Danielle, Kwame, Michael, Renee, and Tyrone) and 6 great-grandchildren (Jeniece, Michael Jr., Dominick, Nathaniel, Charli and Gavin).  

As the youngest of 13, Olive was also the beloved Aunt to many and is survived by Gloria, Roland, Aselia, Frederica (Cutie), Arthence, Yvonne, Pansy, Fredo Jr. and Colin. Most of whom she maintained a close bond with.

As we mourn the passing of Olive, we also celebrate a life well-lived. We remember her not only as a beacon of love but also as a pillar of strength and resilience. Olive's love, wittiness, wisdom and values are reflected in her immediate and extended family. Although her spirit may have departed from this world, her light continues to shine in the lives of those she loved and who loved her.

While our hearts ache, we find comfort in the beautiful memories she has left behind that will never be forgotten. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, she is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
