It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Obie Waples, a loving and devoted mother, who left this world on April 18, 2023. Born in 1935, Obie lived a full and rich life, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and an extraordinary gift for nurturing both plants and animals. Mom was never in a hurry to get anywhere and her passing was no exception. Mom left this world peacefully and without …

No memorial events are planned
All of Mom's friends passed before her. The great folks that looked after Mom these past 9 years where she lived lined the hauls to say goodbye. A memorial service will be held at the end of April where she lived for her friends and neighbors. She will be quietly interned at Fort Logan National Cemetery with our father, Jim Waples. Our family will gather there later.
