Norm graduated from Kensington High School in 1942 at age 15 and worked at a wholesale hardware store until enlisting in the Navy in 1944 and served in China and the Philippines during WWII. Upon return, he enrolled at the University of Buffalo to study Engineering, finally earning his degree in 1962. He met his wife, Grace Meyers (Miller) in Buffalo on a blind date and they married June 26, 1952 and would have celebrated 68 years of marriage this year. They enjoyed many adventures living across the country, especially their retirement to the southern Outer Banks of NC. They both loved being near the water or on a boat. Norm had many interests and was an accomplished amateur artist and continued to create until his death. He always had a project to work on and made many beautiful creations for his daughter and granddaughters including dollhouses, a rocking boat, and a playhouse. He also worked on model boats and decoys.

He was devoted to his family and is survived by his wife Grace, daughter Sharon Levine, son-in-law Ken, and granddaughters Ansley and Amelia who meant the world to him. He is predeceased by his siblings Henry (Esther), Bob (Betty), Delores (Bill) and Joan (Mike) and also survived by 13 nieces and nephews in the Majewski, Tuzzo and Gleason families as well as Marnie and Jill Joyner.
