NORMAN's obituary

In Loving Memory of Norman Ronald "Ron" Jacobsmeyer

August 19, 1946- April 25, 2026.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Norman Ronald “Ron” Jacobsmeyer, dear husband, father, grandpa/papa, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Ron passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026.

Beloved husband of Sue Jacobsmeyer (née Unger) and a devoted father to Jeff Jacobsmeyer (Stephanie), Brian Jacobsmeyer (Stefani), Patrick Jacobsmeyer (Crystal), Mike Williams (Jessica), and Jennifer Niemeyer (Scott). He was a proud and loving Grandpa/Papa to Sammi, Lexi, and Tyler Jacobsmeyer; Mia and Ellie Jacobsmeyer; Lorelei Jacobsmeyer; Cecilia and Chloe Williams; and Brooks and Maeve Niemeyer. He is also survived by his siblings, Barbara Jacobsmeyer and Ken Jacobsmeyer (Michele), and by a wide circle of cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Mary Jane Jacobsmeyer.

Family was the center of Ron's world. He treasured the warmth and laughter of a big family gathering, and his bond with his siblings and cousins was a source of deep joy throughout his life.

After graduating from McBride High School in 1964, Ron earned his degree in psychology. During his studies, he worked as a security guard for Andy Frain at Busch Stadium — an experience that opened the door to his role as ticket manager for the St. Louis Football Cardinals. That early opportunity launched a long and accomplished career that took him through companies including Ticketmaster and General American.

Ron will be remembered as a man who could build or fix just about anything. Remarkably skilled with his hands and always willing to help, he found genuine pleasure in turning an idea into something real and lasting. His creativity found expression in the beautiful stained glass pieces he crafted and in the many woodworking projects he brought to life — among them the custom coffee bars and wine carts that will remain in our homes and in our hearts for years to come.

He had a lifelong love of the water, and there was nowhere Ron seemed more at ease than behind the wheel of his beloved Cobalt boats. A confident and capable captain, he made the lake a place of lasting memory for his family — teaching the kids to waterski, towing the grandchildren on the tube, and filling long summer days with the simple joy of being together on the water.

Ron also cherished the quieter pleasures: an afternoon on the deck, peanuts or chips and salsa within reach, something on the grill, and the easy company of the wildlife that visited his backyard. These quiet moments reflected his appreciation for nature and time spent at home.

More than anything, Ron leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to family. He poured his time, his talents, and his whole heart into the lives of those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
