Norma's obituary

Norma Sue (Crabtree) Shepherd, passed away on November 20, 2017. Sue, as she was known to friends and family, was born May 2, 1936 in Iconium, Missouri to John D and Ruth (Hood) Crabtree. She married John William Shepherd on May 16, 1953 and enjoyed 54 years together. They had one son, Charles D Shepherd. Together, John and Sue built, owned and operated two of the most successful night clubs in the Osceola, Missouri area. The Country Music Corral (1 and 2) was a family friendly night spot playing country music performed by the best local musicians anyone could find in the country. It's popularity was at it's height when it burned not once, but twice. The last time in 1975.

Sue was an avid gardener, painter and bird watcher. Her yard was always a joy to see in the Spring with flowers and bushes of every imaginable type in full bloom. Her favorite flower was the Iris which she collected for many years. She is survived by her son, Charles and his wife, Lisa Shepherd of Galveston, TX, two grandsons Zachary Shepherd of Galveston, TX and Spencer Shepherd of Springfield, MO.

The family asks that donations be made to Hospice Compassus in lieu of flowers.
