Noah's obituary
Noah Son, 40, of Wichita, Kansas passed away in his home suddenly on Sunday, September 3, 2023. He was born in Vietnam on September 24, 1982, to the late Ton Son and Krissa Son. In the winter of 1991, he and most of his family immigrated to the United States, and shortly after, he became the first in his family to finish high school. After graduation, he opened his own sushi restaurant and lived out his lifelong dream of being a sushi chef.
He is survived by his wife, Chae-won Son; his children, Jubilee Son and Charity Son; his siblings, Victor (Thuy) Son, Linh (Nga) Son, Hung (Huong) Son, and Nguyet (Trung) Nguyen; his mother, Krissa Kim; his nephews, Richmond Son, Andy Nguyen, Huy Son, Donald Son, and Levi Son; and his nieces, Mylynn Son, and Jasmine Son; and many others back in Vietnam.
Noah will be remembered for his warming smile, sense of humor, and welcoming personality. He truly lived to make everyone else around him happy and was always willing to make the sacrifices necessary for his loved ones. When we look back on his life, we'll be sure to remember all of the amazing dishes, road trips, and stories that he shared with us. May he rest in peace.
Noah's 49-day memorial will be held on October 22, 2023, at the Khmer Krom Buddhist Cultural Center of Wichita.
We are still making arrangements for his 100-day memorial and will make announcements soon.
