Noah's obituary
Noah B. Mathewson passed away on Dec 3, 2025 in hospice with his wife, Caitlin, holding his hand. While listening to the Grateful Dead—his favorite—and he slipped away peacefully surrounded by love.
Noah fought primary relapsed refractory plasma cell leukemia with a courage and stubborn fire that amazed everyone who loved and cared for him. He went through every treatment available, including CAR-T therapy, and met each step with determination, grit, and his unmistakable humor. His journey was impossibly hard and relatively short, but he walked it with bravery and grace.
"I was honored to be his caretaker until the very end. He was my best friend, my partner in every adventure, my soulmate across lifetimes. I believe we have found each other before, and I believe we will find each other again in whatever comes next. Our love is not something a single lifetime could contain." ~Cait
He is deeply loved and forever held by his wife Caitlin Mathewson, parents Heidi Mathewson and Andre Mathewson, brother Zach Mathewson and his chosen family— Daniel Radulewicz and Scott Turbe —and by everyone whose life he touched.
As his favorite band said, “What a long strange trip it’s been.”
And what a beautiful, wild, unforgettable trip it was with him.
Please keep Noah in your heart, speak his name, and remember him with love.
