Nikki was my first grandchild and she came into this world a child born to a young, but married teen age mother. She was precious and perfect in every way, except for a cleft lip requiring immediate surgeries, and greatly loved by her mother and father and both families. Nikki started out as a fighter and throughout her life she was a survivor. She didn’t have an easy life but she did her best. She bore two beautiful children, Anthony and Ravyn, with her husband James Jordan, who died in 2019. She worked to support her family and attended college where she graduated from Clackamas Community College with honors with a degree in Social Services. She worked for a time at Folktime in Oregon City starting in the kitchen and then as a Peer Support Specialist, and also pursued re-selling, re-purposing items for sale. I hope Nikki knows how many people loved her dearly and that her grandmother loves her unconditionally with all her heart forever. Nikki loved her children with all her heart and soul and missed them dearly. Nikki was a beautiful woman with her own style and I don’t think Nikki realized how beautiful she was, as well as being a smart, intelligent and resourceful woman. She tried to compare her beauty to others but she outshone them. Nikki was very artistic and liked to do tattoos and draw and she liked her piercings and red lipstick and definitely had a fashion flare and zeal for life and friends. I only wish that I had lived nearer to Nikki so that I could have seen her every day instead of cross country where I could only speak to her by phone on occasion and visit only one or twice.-- but, there’s always tomorrow. I will miss Nikki always and for eternity. She left this world far too soon. Please rest in peace Nikki in a paradise far removed from this cruel world and those who bear false witness and condemnation. Love you. See you in the next world.
I am so sorry for this tremendous loss. Nicole worked for me at FolkTime in a role truly meant for her. She uplifted others who were hurting with her humongous heart, she’d give you the shirt off her back even if it was her last one. She was an incredible artist, a true raw talent. She was hilarious and spicy and loud and full of great ideas!
I understand she navigated many challenges in her short life. She would speak openly about those times in an effort to support the people who came to her seeking refuge. My hope for Nicole is that she has now been set free.
