One of my favorite memories has to do with one of the better family photos that exists of Lynn, Judy and the sisters, taken at a Flemings sometime around 2015. I had known that all three sisters would be there and knew they were going to want me to take a picture of them, so I had found a photo of three goofy horses with long blonde manes huddled together showing their teeth and smiling; and when I acted like I had taken the picture I said “oh that’s a good one” and turned it around to show the sisters their horse face photo. They didn’t think it was as funny as I did, but Lynn thought it was hilarious, and I took the photo of the five of them right after that prank, where Lynn is still smiling (something he didn’t do very much for pictures) and everyone else has joy in their face. I’m so happy I was able to capture that moment.
There were dozens of thanksgivings and christmases and Easters and birthdays and brunches and some of them brought with them the drama that comes with all of those strong female personalities mixed with kids and parents and friends and other family… lots of loud conversations and sometimes some bruised feelings but always there was the connection that only family has. I was fortunate to witness it for as long as I did.
Hard sometimes to appreciate people for who they are while they’re still here, she was a kindred spirit to me in a lot of ways, and that’s something that will keep me remembering her for a long time. I’ll miss Nicole. XOXO -Matt

My condolences. I first met Nicole in Chicago through the music scene. We moved to ATX at the same time and I was able to see her beautiful kiddos grow from toddlers to young adults. Her smile and radiating energy drew people close, she will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to the family. RIP Nicole ❤️

My first memories with Nicole go back to a vibrant time of all our lives in Chicago's music scene. She was always a firebrand of life and fun and energy. I've had the privilege to know and love her family ever since and my heart breaks for this all too early loss for all of them. She leaves behind a lot of memories that reside with friends and two of the most charming kids I've ever met. I wish for an eternal strong hug to surround them both as they grieve and struggle through this huge loss. I also wish Chris peace as he continues to be a strong and present dad for his family.

I have many memories of Nicole, mostly as the very caring and sweet mother to her children, who I adored and enjoyed teaching. May she be at peace and may her loved ones feel comfort and love at this difficult time. ❤️🩹
