Nicole's obituary
"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." - Dumbledore
Nicole Michelle Ramos passed onto her new journey on July 16th, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by her husband and family after a long battle with complications due to long covid. She is survived by her husband, Andres Ramos, her two children, Aribella and Xavi, mother, Roberta Casados, sisters, Jackie Ruiz (Eddie Ruiz) and their children, Emi, Eddie, Jaycee and Shawna Casados and her children Kane and Gabby, Niece/Sister, Kennedy Casados and Grandma, Mary Encinias.
Nicole Michelle Ramos was born December 30th, 1980, in Aurora, Colorado. She was the oldest out of 3 girls born to David and Roberta Casados. She was an everblooming flower, a lily, preferably. From a child, it was easily noted that Nicole was a lover of all things, and had a knack for just about any and everything she put her mind to. In her youth Nicole thoroughly embodied the “big sister”mentality. She loved to care for people and animals. She had the grace and the softness to connect with any living thing. Nicole was an avid reader and film enjoyer, Harry Potter specifically becoming a huge piece of her heart.
Nicole graduated with the class of 1999, from Cottonwood High School. She went on to study at the University of Utah, graduating with her bachelors and then followed by her masters. She was a devoted student, and had a passion for learning. Nicole was determined to help people. She made space for everyone; she was a natural nurturer and guide for those in need. She worked as a trauma social worker in the ER for years as well as running her own practice as a therapist, always searching for a way to help people.
Nicole and Andres tied the knot February 28th, 2015. The couple had known each other since high school, their connection unlike any other. From the beginning it was clear that their love would be one that outlasts time itself. Andres and Nicole were each other's best friends, both coming from families full of hardship - they formed their own path, their own family, their own lives. Together.
Nicole was a healer, a creator, and a giver. Whether it be one of her tastefully crocheted crafts, a letter in her delicate penmanship, or one of her signature “squeezes”. She was the most empathetic person you could ever be so lucky to cross paths with.
Her passion radiated in even the most dark of times.
It has been our greatest honor to love, and to be loved by her.
As Nicole and Andres always said,
Always, and forever.
