Nick's obituary

Nick Trink, 67, of Gurnee, IL, passed away on April 29, 2022.

Nick was born on September 12th, 1954 to Henry Anthony Trink and Giavanna Trink in Waukegan, Illinois. He attended Waukegan High School where he graduated in 1972. He went on to study Automotive at Gateway Technical college in Kenosha WI. After graduation, he landed a job at Johnson Outboard marina. Following there he followed his dream of pursing his career in the automotive and repair industry. Before retirement Nick spent 7 years working at Lowes in Gurnee, from there Nick went to work for Goodwill at the Great Lakes Navy Base, where he retired from in 2020. Nick met the love of his life Judy Wilberschied in 1983. They wed in 1986, going on to have 3 children, Nicole, Michelle and Amber. Nick was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Nicole, Michelle, Amber, and Judy and always tried his best to support them. Nick was also a passionate about coaching his girls soccer team for years. He loved car races and could often be found at Road America when he wasn’t at home. Anyone who knew Nick knew that he was the most loving papa, father and husband a family could ask for. Nick was predeceased by his mother Giavianna and Father Henry. He is survived by his beloved wife Judy Trink, a sister Gina Boyke, his children Nicole, Michelle, Amber Trink, his grandchildren Amaya, Jaylen, Kaylie, Aubrianna, and Cameron. His best four legged friend Brandon, as well as his grand pups Ruby, Mr. Feeny, and Pua. Nick is also survived by his sister in law Denise (Ronald) Harju. Nick also is survived by a host of nieces and nephews along with friends whom loved him dearly. There will be a memorial/celebration of life on May 15th, 2022 at Grandwood Park District Community Center
