Nick's obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Nick Strader on December 2, 2023. Nick was born on April 22, 1979, and in his 44 years, he lived a life of vibrance and made an indelible impact on all who knew him.

A proud Marine since 1998, Nick wore his service with honor and pride. His love for the red and blue ran deep, showing in his favorite color red, and his musical choice of folk and bluegrass. He showcased his creative spirit through his own pieces of art, finding joy in crafting and creating.

Nick was an adventurer at heart. He found immense joy in riding his bike, whether it was racing down a steep hill or going on a leisurely ride on a sunny afternoon. His favorite local spots were anywhere his friends were, and he could turn any location into a memorable experience. His favorite vacation spots were anywhere that he could take his beloved bike.

Energetic, animated, adventurous, and always up for fun, Nick had a hilarious sense of humor that could illuminate even the darkest room. He had a strong love for games, with a nostalgic favorite being 'Cops and Robbers' which always brought forth his infectious laughter.

Nick had a taste for the simple pleasures in life. He loved honey buns, sour patch kids, and cheese. To wash it down, his favorite drink was Smirnoff. His charisma translated into every aspect of his life, including his culinary preferences.

One of his greatest accomplishments, aside from his service, was his unwavering loyalty to his sister. The animated stories of their time together and his steadfast support will be his enduring legacy. He was a strong supporter of your local 81, demonstrating in every part of his life.

A Celebration of Life for Nick will be held on January 20, 2024, at 1 PM at 2240 Fallon Rd. It is more than an opportunity to mourn his passing; it is a chance to celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, adventure, and love. Nick was loved more than he even realized, and his impact will forever be felt by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
