I met Nick few years ago when he came thru a VA program to get a place to live in Georgetown.
He went thru few changes during these years I have known him but his heart of gold which captured my attention. I tried with my meager means to settle him couple of times but the love for his kids gave these ladies more power over him than he could handle at times. He will be greatly missed by all of us in Georgetown and Millsboro. Sunny Gyani.

When I first met Nick for the first time I was astounded by the contradiction before me. Here was this man that looked about as intimidating as any I have known, but when he spoke I believe I literally did a double take.
He was soft spoken, intelligent and thoughtful. Nick was the epitome of "Don't judge a book by it's cover".
As out friendship grew, I came to know Nick as a humourous, compassionate person, to whom his kids meant the world. Nick had a heart of gold and I had tremendous respect for him.
Nick's struggles, we all know about and he sometimes seemed helpless to the demons that haunted him. His last days were a confused, jumbled, emotional and intellectual challange for him.
I believe Nick was not honored in his life for his service to our Country. His struggles may have been mitigated with the care he should have received as a vet.
As I reflect on what I know about Nick. I would hope that we all do our best to honor his short time here in Earth and pray that justice will prevail for Nick. If not here in our time then when we see him again.
I believe that free will is the greatest gift from God, and that not being our brothers keeper the biggest sin.
Nick, I wish I could have done more for you brother. Rest easy my friend. I will see you again.
On April 12th Nick sent this link to me... He randomly would send Edward and I clips and articals we all woukd enjoy. This was the last conversation we had...

After much thought and recent goings on in my own life ... One thing we all need to know is life is to short to waste it on anything but happiness. Rest lively in Valhalla friend. 23/16
