Nicholas's obituary
Nicholas Long Born June 15.1982 on Ft. Wainwright in Alaska and was sent to his eternal home on March 30, 2025. He was the beloved son of Rick Long and Patricia Johnson.
Nicholas as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion and unwavering faith in God.
His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Nicholas is survived by his loving parents Rick and Patricia, his step father Sam, his brother Noah, sister in law Summer, his sisters, Tovia and Amie, his uncle Eric,and his aunts,who loved him dearly Maria, Renate, Amy. Nicholas was an uncle to Wynter and Serenity and grandson of Rita.. He also leaves behind cousins Jay, Josh, and Mckenzie.
After Nicholas turned 18 he adventured various curiosities. He found joy in music and the open road.
He was a talented keyboard player and wrote songs that he recorded. Nicholas had a way with animals, and spending his time training them. Nicholas was happiest when he found our lord and savor. He spread kindness and the message of love and hope. He served as a missionary in Africa. His dedication to his faith and his desire to bring light to those in need , optimized his joyful and generous nature.
Those who knew Nicholas will remember him for his infectious smile and his faith in Jesus. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.
All though Nicholas physical presence may no longer grace our lives his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us.
