Background
Nick went into the ICU last week with pneumonia- he was immediately put
on a ventilator (which btw he would not have wanted) he was fighting to take out tubes and get up and the hospital assured me the safest thing is to keep him calm
and sedated. I called Sunday AM and he was still acting “wild” as they put it. Said tolerance is high and he is on a lot of heavy meds. They put a chest tube in to drain fluid from lungs. For an abscess that developed (I found out after ). They called me 6p Sunday to say he lost his pulse and it was not looking good. Got there 15 mins later and he was gone. They think it got into his heart.
His family is helping with some of the cremation costs. But I know Nick would
have loved a service with all the bells and whistles. Go all out he would tell me. He is going to Omega Society and they don’t have a lot of options - I don’t know if he could be transferred somewhere else at this point.
Viewing is tentative 5/30 at 1pm and they said only 15 ppl. Wondering if they will allow groups of 15.
