I just found out today that Nick passed away. He was my neighbor on Roswell Rd. My heart breaks for his family. I’ll always remember him as a sweet and kind young man and a good neighbor. RIP and fly high angel.

For my birthday in 2019, Nick surprised me with the gift of fulfilling a goal off of my bucket list- a trip to Thailand. I now wish he’d had a bucket list, too, but he never made one. We stayed on a beautiful remote island - Ko Racha Yai. We had a charming bungalow with a view of the ocean and our own private swimming pool. I couldn’t have dreamed up a better vacation. Most nights we would walk to the neighboring resort because they offered more traditional Thai cuisine. We also got excellent views there of crabs and a huge Monitor, which Nick took tons of cool photos of. It was an excellent adventure, and a priceless gift - those memories.

I met Nick in the early 2000's through his cousins Robin and Shannon. We had an instant connection as we shared a lot of similar interests, and I always was so excited when Nick would come over to our apartment.
I remember coming home from work and seeing his brown little gremlin looking car sitting in front of our house. I would exclaim "Nick!" as I approached as I really never knew exactly when he was going to be over. I was genuinely so excited to hang out and talk with him. We would play video games or board games and I would show him what I was currently into. He always took an honest interest in what I was showing him. That was one of the qualities I adored about Nick. Whenever I shared thoughts or ideas he always seemed to genuinely care, and he would offer his thoughts and ideas as well.
As the years passed and we went our separate ways, I managed to keep in touch with Nick a little. I heard he moved to California to develop his software company. I admired his drive to make his dreams a reality. We would play some games together online here and there and catch up a little. I saw he had gotten married and enjoyed success with his Tiny Mobile App company.
I can still hear Nick's voice vividly in my head. He had a very distinct laugh I thought was hilarious. Kind of quick and abrupt.
In my 39 years, Nick is quite honestly the most genuine guy I have ever met. Others have mentioned how selfless he was, and I witnessed this as well. I looked up to Nick and was so impressed at how many different skills he had. It seemed he had a passion for so many different things!
I just want to offer my condolences to his family and friends. Nick will truly be missed. I know I will cherish the memories I have with Nick and will often think of him. Rest easy brother.
