Nicholas's obituary
Nicholas “Nick” Houseman was born on June 18, 1992, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Lisa (Michaels) McKown and Kenneth Houseman. He spent most of his life in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he built lifelong friendships and became a familiar face to many.
A graduate of Northeast High School, Nick was known for his outgoing personality and unforgettable presence. His love for art and his creative spirit were unmatched — he had a gift for bringing color, laughter, and joy into the lives of those around him.
In recent years, Nick faced difficult challenges with addiction. This is a condition not easily understood by those who haven’t experienced its weight. Sadly, Nick’s battle ended tragically, a loss that reminds us of the critical importance of mental health support for all.
Yet, even amid these struggles, Nick remained a kind, creative soul — a light in the lives of his family, friends, and all who knew him. As we remember him, we share stories, laughter, and tears — just as Nick would have wanted.
Services are being held privately by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Suicide and Crisis Hotline in Nick’s memory.
Please remember: you are not alone. You are loved. Your pain matters.
