Nick was one of the kindest people I've ever met. We were friends in college at PLU, and bonded over our mutual love of The Twilight Zone, and had a couple marathons at my house back in the day. I had a Facebook memory pop up today of him talking about one of those marathons, and in going to look him up to see how he was doing these days, I came across this terribly sad news. To his family, I just wanted you to know there are still people out there who love the heck out of him and think about him often. He was an incredible person and I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Nick and I were coworkers for something like 8 years at Nintendo, and I had the fantastic opportunity to become good friends with him during that time. We kept in regular contact after he left, but COVID made it hard to catch up in person and I had only seen him a couple of times in person since 2020. He was an extremely goofy person, intrinsically positive and a natural at bringing the mood up for everyone around him. Miller family, I and his friends at Nintendo have many pictures and memories we can share. So please feel contact me if you'd like and I'll see what I can collect. I'm so, so sorry for your loss.

Nick brought a smile to my face each day when we worked together. No matter how intense things got he always stayed positive; I admired that in him. Rest in power my friend. You are missed by so many.

Celebrating Nick today - and always - but especially today with John and Bobbi. Wishing desperately that he was still with us to celebrate. . .

Nick was such a wonderful and kind person, and I was looking forward to many more years of family vacations and mountain adventures with him. It's hard to believe I didn't know him all that long; he already felt like family. Nick, you are so missed and your spirit (and the spirit of Dr. Nick Monkey) will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know you. Troy and Johnny - thinking of you often, sending you love and hoping you find whatever peace you can in this heartbreaking time.

I met Nick in October of 2022 on a dating app and was immediately charmed by his thoughtful questions and kind demeanor. Meeting in person confirmed this, and over time, I also learned how optimistic and adventurous he was. He balanced my cynicism and tempered my cautious nature with that easy-going smile. He was genuine and candid, but still so kind. I’ll miss our movie nights, rainy walks all over Portland, and seeing a message from him pop up on my phone each day.
Nick had a profound impact on my life, even in the short time we shared together. I miss him every day. My sincerest condolences to his family, though I hope you know that how wonderful he was as a person is a testament to the care that you raised him with, and to the love that you all hold for him.

Dear Troy, I think of the stories you shared with me last summer about Nick while we worked together in the library. I thank you for sharing. Sending you thoughts of support and peace.

Hello Nick... :) I've not had the privilege of meeting you in person, but I already feel as if I had a connection and understanding of who you were, and still are, in the hearts of your family, friends, and people you have met in the Northwest, and in your travels. Thank you for your gifts of pouring out to others. You have created lasting memories and set an example of how best to treat people, animals, and our earthly environment.
Sincerely, Sue Doud
