Nicholas's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nicholas Aaron Beyer, who was born on September 13, 1996 and left this world far too soon on April 26, 2025, at the age of 28. Nicholas resided in Columbus, Ohio, where he lived a life full of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
Nicholas was the loving son of David Beyer and the late Christine Laird. He was a proud and devoted father to his three sons - Mason, Holden, and Maverick. Nicholas cherished his role as a father, and his love and dedication to his children was evident in everything he did. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family.
He attended Bowling Green State University and honorably served his country as a member of the Army National Guard Reserves — a reflection of his integrity, selflessness, and commitment to serving others.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Laird, and his grandfather, Donald Er-win. He is survived by his children Mason, Holden, and Maverick; father David Beyer; siblings Valerie (Jose) Guzman-Castaneda, Joseph (Desiree) Beyer; grandmother Sharon Erwin; nieces Liliana and
Riley; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
He leaves behind the Dydek (Sulak) family, who embraced him as their own, deeply loving him and his children, and sharing countless memories together. He will hold an everlasting place in the hearts of Felicia and Phillip Sulak, his three brothers - Brandyn (Ally) Dydek, Payton, and Ayden Dydek - and nieces Waverly and Addisyn; as well as Maverick's mother, Tiana Tartt, and her family. Both families were a source of strength, love, and belonging throughout his life - and he, in turn, was a light in theirs.
Those who knew Nicholas will remember his warm smile that could light up any room and his gentle spirit that brought comfort and joy to everyone around him. His impact on the lives of his children, family, and friends is immeasurable, and his absence will be deeply felt.
As we mourn his passing, we find solace in the memories we cherish and in the legacy of love, strength, and kindness he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a lasting blessing to all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, from 4-7 p.m. at Jerry Spears Funeral Home of Hilliard, 5471 Frazell Road, with a service to follow at 7 p.m.
