Age 36, of Woodbury, died unexpectedly and far too soon In San Diego, CA on 12/20/22.

Niall's body was donated to the Unveristy of CA, San Diego Body Donation Program for the advancement of medical science.

Niall is survived by his mother Karen Mergens, grandparents Mary McKee and Paul Mergens, uncles Kevin Mergens and Daniel Johnson and a large extended family. Niall graduated from White Bear Lake HS and attended Century College's HVAC program. He worked primarily in the construction trades where he was exceptionally skilled. There were few jobs he couldn't master. He had a vibrant, engaging personality, a beautiful smile and a kind heart. He was smart, strong, loving, compassionate and always willing to help others. He will be forever missed.

A memorial mass will be held at 3 pm January 26th at Guardian Angels Church, 8260 4th Street N. Oakdale followed by Celebration of Life at the Green Mill restaurant, 6025 Hudson Road Woodbury from 4:30 to 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to charities assisting those facing addiction or to the family at 587 Park Estates Square, Venice, Florida 34293.
