Nestor was truly exceptional—always ready to listen and always there to guide when it was needed most. The Scouts admired him deeply and learned some of life's most invaluable lessons through his kindness and patience. Our heartfelt condolences and love to the Garcia and Gendelman families.

Jr. as he was called was the sweetest kid you could ever meet. My mother and his father, Uncle Nestor were siblings. My mother, Milagros  was the eldest of 9. When we arrived in NY, we had never met Uncle Nestor once we arrived, he welcomed us with open arms. He was very protective of all of us. He was my hero. They spent every weekend at our house, he would plan trips during the summer. My uncle and his son were two peas in a pod. They were both loving with family members. i spokd to him on Oct. 2025 and we shared our childhood. I told him we need to get together soon. Learning of his passing, has been devasting is living thru Uncle Nestor's unexpected passing. My heart aches and something I don*t wish on anyone. Until me meet again Junior. Will always be remembered and love you, Negra.

Nestor was an amazing person, the most kind and genuinely caring man I have had the pleasure to know.  Nestor and his family welcomed ours into the Boyscouts and started us all on a life changing journey.  His leadership and example helped so many young men (as he always called them) to grow and learn self sufficiency, responsibility and the joy of giving back.

We will all try to continue his legacy to honor him.  You will be missed my friend!
