Nelson Boswell Greenwood, affectionately known as “Baby Brother” to many, passed away on December 3, 2025, in his home in North Las Vegas, Neveda. He was born on January 15, 1946, to Nelson Greenwood and Lois Boswell Greenwood, in Los Angeles, California. He was the second child of three children. He was very artistic and loved to draw, dance and party. He graduated from Los Angeles High School in June 1964 and immediately enlisted in the Marine Corp. He went to boot camp at Camp Pendelton and after completion, he was deployed to Vietnam. This event changed him and he suffered with PTS for the rest of his life. He received an Honorable discharge from the Marine Corp on March 1970. Despite problems he attended Santa Monica College and received a certificate in Administration of Justice. He attended Peace Officer training Service College. He held several jobs related to being a peace officer. He moved to Las Vegas about 18 years ago and in the last 10 years found a community in North Las Vegas that welcomed him with love and friendship. He will be missed by his sisters Edith Gaynella and Angela, his cousins; Howard Story, Kermit Benton, Vincent Boswell, Monica Mitchell and Marvin Augustus, extended family and many friends.
