Background
A surgeon, Nelson spent his career caring for others in need and had great compassion for children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases, so much so that he invested a year studying cardiovascular surgery for children. He was greatly motivated and devoted to causes focused on alleviating the suffering for children and their families.
